Convert your DXF drawings to PDF to print and share
DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is a CAD drawing interchange format kept by programs such as AutoCAD, LibreCAD or QCAD. It is excellent for editing drawings between different programs, but impractical for sharing: whoever receives it needs a CAD viewer to open it. Converting it to PDF lets you send the drawing to anyone and have them see it exactly the same on a phone, a computer or printed.
PDF is the universal standard for presenting finished drawings: it respects the layout, the lines and the proportions, and it can be printed to scale without the recipient having to touch anything. It is what clients, print shops, technical offices and public administrations expect when you request a permit or deliver a project.
If your file is in DWG (AutoCAD's native format), first export it to DXF from your CAD program and then convert it to PDF here. This intermediate step is very common because DXF is open and compatible, while DWG is proprietary.
